Nicole Bigby
Nicole Bigby is a business leader (and English and Australian qualified lawyer) and Board level sustainability / ESG and legal/regulatory governance specialist for organisations navigating complex policy, systems and strategic transformation, sensitive operating environments and decision making and seeking to support human rights and the rule of law. She is currently the inaugural Sustainability and ESG Director at Fieldfisher LLP in London and has broad experience as a professional services Partner and former General Counsel and Statutory Officer and advising clients across several sectors on global legal/regulatory and public governance issues concerning responsible and sustainable business conduct, including human rights, SDG 16 / rule of law strategies, and transparency and accountability mechanisms.
Nicole's mission-led personal and professional contributions include leading and contributing to global projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives driving human rights led responsible and sustainable systems transformation and accountability as a: Special Advisor to the United Nations Global Compact on corporate responsibility/ business and human rights (2014-16) and member of WEF Global Agenda Councils on Transparency and Anti-corruption 2019-22; and B20 ESG in Business Action Council 2023, and Compliance and Integrity Taskforces 2020-23, 2024, and as a UK Commissioner on the ICC’s Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility and Anti-Corruption Committees and working with various industry ad hoc bodies (the International Bar Association and law societies) on projects in these areas.
